Facebook, the new video campaign ad for Dan Branch, the Republican candidate
for Texas Attorney General, was removed from the social media giant for “
community standards” violations.

post，而后又在Chronicle网站和本专业协会的网站登出。该系已有一位中国AP（2012
年进的）。能否判断该广告是否为其办身份，还是真的opening？因为之前遇到两次这
类情况。一次是在summer，一次是在spring semester登的，都是fall semester的AP职
位。结果都是为本系的AP办身份的AD。
所不同的是这次这个position上周末在该系的主页上也等了（ABD considered)。而且
很蹊跷的是，可能是因为原文照搬2011年的那个老的AD，AD所要求提交的申请材料和在
Academic Jobs Online上(网申)要求上传的材料不完全一致。最先贴的AD和后来的AD申

。就我密的talent而言，2012 和 2013两个class都是前六的，随便找个人来也不至于这
么差。不知道是不是Hoke 和Brandon对他干预太多。就是RR时代的第一个DC，现在雪城
的HC吧，一个中上水平的coach，不是RR坚持3-4打法，估计defense也不知至于那么差。
话说回来，Nussmeier同时也是QB coach，这么多inteception，不知道他怎么coach的。
现在AD最大的失误就是找了Hoke，当年说是小哈宝和弥勒寺不愿意来，所以找了Hoke，
其实offer根本没有给他们。AD对Hoke也够意思了，我们现在OC 和 DC的工资在NCAA所有
OC、DC中不是前五就是前十的水平。
过去10年中，我们和你们的最大差距就是在于AD。前任AD和现在AD都是business man。 |

都上。我觉得根本原因是那批搞ad hoc的人不炒点东西就没饭吃，并不是又发现
了什么killer app。
其实道理很简单，ad hoc长在infrastructureless。在一个infrastructure几乎
完全覆盖的环境里，你说ad hoc能有多大好处？有什么事是非要ad hoc干其他干
不了的？说了这么多年了，应用还是那么几个有限的特种用途。那几个民用
startup除非有军方项目没有一个有希望。
还有一个方向是往小里做，这里面有些搞头，不过跟现在ad hoc的研究方向差别
很大。

，因为都在工程学院，选优先权时首选的CS）
截止目前有四个消息，1个AD（Columbia ms cs)，3个REJ(Cornell cs, UCI ee in
computer engineering track, JHU ee ),可能是申得晚了，所以才那么四个消息
剩下的学校里，我还比较感兴趣的就是UT austin和USC，特别是USC，要不我也不会申
它两个program
现在我的问题是，我到底是就应了这个AD，还是再等等USC，这个AD的截止日期是5月15
号，不过我是肯定不会等到那时候的，因为有个i20的问题还有签证的问题
我的犹豫是，列个表，（都是AD狂，Columbia一年cs ms招200多，USC具体数字不清楚）
CU：优点是，名气大，ivy league，学校的综合实力应该强些，在NY CITY，一个“转
角都是故事”的城市，什么人都可能碰到，真正的大千世界
特点是，这个城市似乎由于金融太发达，什么专业的都很想转去做这个；还有就是
授课制，一年招cs ms 200 |

life insurance 2x salary 也是free的， 可以自己加钱买更多coverage
AD&D 2x slary 也是free的， 可以自己加钱买更多coverage， 比
life insurance便宜而且AD&D 是 pre-tax的。
想请教一下
Long-Term Disability + AD&D 是不是已经能cover自己长期生病没法工作跟不小心挂
掉的两种情况？
如果是这样的话，那life insurance相对Long-Term Disability + AD&D 还有什么优势？ |

的AD在，什么大哈小哈烧卖都没戏，给多少钱人家都不来。2011年AD放风是找小哈和烧
卖，但是人家不来，所以找的侯克，其实他压根offer都没给过人家。
现在希望这个过程快点。马上再输两场，10月换AD，11月season over后直接换教练。 |

的，正好看完YouTube那个教练running forehand教程，以前看过他ad court kick的教
程，拿出来重看一遍。发觉讲得真不错。今天比赛试验了一下，感觉有点开了窍，ad
court 一发 kick有60%左右的成功率，能砸到边线附近，基本上对手要么DTL出界，要
么被我跟进轻松volley cross court。还没有试黑导的FH cc pattern, 因为我FH on
the rise不是特别好。一下是一些技术要点，接下来几场比赛争取趁热打铁，以后能够

俺在欧洲某ee牛校念master,琢磨着去美国发展.今年申请了几个学校,除了一个排名70
左右的,一个40左右的,其他几个都是前20.
结果很快就被前10的几个学校拒了,70的给了个offer,但是我思考了一下还是拒了他们(
排名一般,亚裔老板怕是比较push,而且又是个小城市,估计和北欧一样无聊...),UC
Irvine给了个ad(phd的ad...),还剩两个学校,看来多半也是rej了.所以现在琢磨这个ad
...
如果自己咬咬牙去irvine的话,打算一年时间再拿个master(不知道政策上能否从phd的
ad转到master,这个再议),然后出来找份工把钱还了,然后要不要读phd以后再说.虽然说
近年来美国经济不景气,我觉得到时候在美国找个工作还是可能的,自费读书的钱也可以
补上.只是要拖累父母这一年两年里节衣缩食了...
要么就是留在欧洲发展,找个不错的工作干几年,以后要回国自己干或者去美国发展再说
.在欧洲工作轻松,但是钱比较少,而且以后回国估计没有美国海归吃香.而且现在去成美
国总觉得心里有点不爽.
我的目标不是去学术界,而是在工业界里混.最 |

UW上的drug ad/research abstract题目偏难，实际考试的都比较直接，顶多一两个题
绕一下。如果你的统计和流行病学基本概念清楚，先看问题，然后快速扫drug ad/
research abstract，一般都会找到答案。如果找不到，那问题太难，就像其他CK难题
一样，你只能先跳过去，节省时间去做其他的题。答对所有会做的题就不容易了，我认
为。
NEJM杂志上有时候有些Drug ad，但是都很简单，我还真找不到难度和UW差不多的drug
ad，想想做广告如果做到别人需要绕半天才明白也算是失败吧。Abstract主要取决于研
究训练背景，想通过突击来提高恐怕不如把时间花在其他更HY的内容上，比如内科鉴别
诊断上。 |

$199.97. I'm going to take the ad to Walmart tonight to try to get them to
price match. Not sure if this ad was printed erroneously nationwide or not.
This ad is in the Birmingham, AL paper.
